2023 NYC BBA Distinguished Favorite

After a tequila-fueled disaster, Larry Winstead, a 40-year-old man from Mississippi, finds himself unemployed and on the verge of divorce. But when a beautiful Argentine painter sees his potential as an artist, and a new job in the janitorial services industry takes him to post-Katrina New Orleans, he begins to find his way. In New Orleans, Larry meets a cast of artsy, worldly strangers who help him to discover who he is and who he isn't. He learns about his father's mysterious disappearance and his own abandoned dream of becoming a writer. He also learns about the importance of living in the present moment and following his heart. Through his journey, Larry comes to realize that he has the power to create the life he wants. He also learns that sometimes, when things fall apart, they fall together again.
