In the 23rd century, Aiden, a prominent member of the rebellion against the Xirfell rulers, is imprisoned and expects to be executed. The Xirfell are an alien race that oppresses many planets, including Earth. However, the Xirfell have just executed their king and installed a new ruler. This has caused widespread rioting among the populace. Amid the chaos, Aiden is sworn in as the new leader of the rebellion. He has always longed to be a leader, but he has never felt like he fit in anywhere. Now, he must rediscover himself as an indigenous Australian, as a fighter, as a lover, and as a leader.
