Steven Schindler

Three best friends, Chili, Mikey, and Angel, found refuge in an abandoned fallout shelter in the basement of a Bronx apartment building. They used it to plan their dreams and schemes throughout their lives. They scoffed at fear, even during atomic bomb “duck and cover” drills in darkened school hallways. They found humor in the anger of nuns and priests who preached fire and brimstone. Little did they know that evil was lurking in plain sight, even in places reserved for the sacred. They were used to the dangers on the city streets, but they weren't prepared for the sins of the Fathers. Chili risked everything to protect those he loved, and there was no commandment that could stop him.
