Charles Salzberg

Francis Hoyt, a master burglar, is on the run. He has skipped bail and is now a fugitive, unsure of what to do with his life. He heads to Los Angeles, where he meets Dakota, a young true crime podcaster who is investigating him. At the same time, he is approached by a mysterious attorney who offers him a deal: break into a mob bank and he will be paid handsomely. Hoyt is intrigued by the offer, but he is also wary. He knows that the mob is dangerous, and he doesn't want to get caught. But he is also desperate for money, and he sees this as a chance to start a new life. He decides to take the deal, but he knows that it is a risky proposition. He will have to use all of his skills and cunning to pull it off. If he fails, he could end up dead. The stakes are high, but Hoyt is determined to succeed. He knows that this is his only chance to escape his past and build a new future for himself.
